Flagpole Sales in the Midwest

Jerry's blunt view, and he has earned it: a lot of the people selling flagpoles do not understand what they are selling. A pole gets listed as 25 feet with a price next to it, and nothing about butt diameter, wall thickness or wind rating is mentioned anywhere. Then the customer flies an oversized flag on it and wonders why the shaft bent.

We sell one-piece and telescoping poles, all American made, and we spec them against what you are actually going to fly and where the pole is going to stand. That conversation takes about five minutes and it is the difference between a pole that lasts decades and one that becomes a repair call.

How we handle it

  1. Tell us the site

Open farmland catches far more wind than a lot ringed by mature trees. Exposure changes what we recommend before anything else does.

  2. Pick the style

One-piece for a permanent commercial or residential installation, telescoping where you want to lower it easily by hand.

  3. Match the flag

Flag length runs roughly a quarter to a third of pole height. We size these together rather than separately.

  4. Order and install

Product is paid for before residential scheduling. Then we set it and hand over the warranty terms in plain language.

The detail that decides it

One-piece against telescoping
What you should know
One-piece, warrantyLifetime warranty on the shaft, conditional on flying the recommended flag size and not exceeding the pole's wind rating.
One-piece, best forPermanent installs where the pole never needs to come down. Commercial sites and most residential lawns.
Telescoping, warrantyLifetime warranty on the locks and the swivel rings, which are the parts that actually wear.
Telescoping, best forOwners who want to raise and lower the pole by hand without a halyard, or take it down seasonally.
Butt diameterThe width at the base. This is the single biggest indicator of how much load a shaft carries.
Wall thicknessThe gauge of aluminum. Invisible once installed, and the first thing a cheap pole cuts.

Why bring this job to us

  • We spec against wind

Your pole gets matched to your exposure and your flag, which is what keeps the shaft warranty valid.

  • We will not oversell you

Average job here is around a thousand dollars. We are not trying to sell you the biggest pole on the sheet.

  • We install what we sell

The person who sold you the pole is the person who sets it, so nothing gets lost in between.
